The following verses from the Bible have been used to help frame explanations for scientifically observable evidence.
Why Creation Science?
1 Peter 2:15 “…always being ready to make a defense to every one who asks you to give an account for the hope that is within you, yet with gentleness and reverence.
2 Corinthians 10:4-5 “For the weapons of our warfare are not of the flesh, but are (of thoughts) divinely powerful. … (and we are to) cast down imaginations, and every high thing that exalts itself against the knowledge of God…”
The accuracy of the Bible:
2 Timothy 3:16; All Scripture is inspired by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, correction, for training in righteousness. ASB (American Standard Bible)
2 Peter 1:20-21: But know this for a fact; that no scripture is a matter of one’s interpretation, … but by men moved by the Holy Spirit. ASB (American Standard Bible)
Proverbs 9:10 “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom” ASB (American Standard Bible); The American Heritage Dictionary (secular) states 1 of many definitions of fear as “extreme reverence or awe as towards a supreme power”.
Necessity of Faith:
Ephesians 2:8 “For by grace you are saved through faith..”
Hebrews 11:1-3 “Now faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen. For by it the men of old gained approval. By faith we understand that the world was prepared by the word of God, so that what is seen was made out of things which are not visible”. ASB (American Standard Bible)
Hebrews 11:6 “And without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and He is a rewarder of those who seek Him.
John 3:12 (Jesus said) “If I told you earthly things and you do not believe, how shall you believe if I tell you Heavenly things?” ASB (American Standard Bible)
Details of Creation:
Genesis Chapter 1 (all): Describes the sequence of God’s Creation and that this was completed in 6 days.
Genesis Chapter 1:21-25. “… He created creatures… birds…cattle…and beasts… be fruitful and multiply…each after its’ kind”.
Genesis Chapter 1:25. “….and God said that it was very good.”
Genesis Chapter 2:2. “and by the 7th day, God had completed his work and He rested….”
Dinosaurs in the Bible
Job 40: 15-24. (excerpts) “Behold the Behemoth.. who eats grass like an ox…he bends his tail like a cedar… his bones are like tubes of bronze, his limbs are like bars of iron…if a river rages, he is not alarmed.. can anyone capture him?....with barbs can anyone pierce his nose? Job 41: 1-34. (excerpts) “Can you draw out a Leviathan with a fishhook? Can you put a rope in his nose? Or pierce his jaw with a hook?” Can you fill his skin with harpoons? Lay your hand on him, and you will not do it again! Who can strip off his outer armor, or come within his double mail? His sneeze flashes forth light. Out of his mouth go burning torches. When he raises up, the mighty fear. Because of the crashing, they are bewildered. He regards iron as straw. Bronze as rotten wood. The arrow cannot make him flee. Barbs are regarded as stubble. Psalms 104:26. (excerpts) “… and the Leviathan, which Thou hast formed to sport in it (the great sea).”
Jeremiah 51:34 “…he hath swallowed me up like a dragon”. (New Analytical Version 1941). “Like a serpent”. NIV (New International Version). “Like a monster.” ASB (American Standard Bible)
Isaiah 30:6 “The beasts from the south (Negev) “… whence come the lion and the viper and the fiery flying serpent”. (New Analytical Version 1941) and ASB (American Standard Bible).
Genesis 1:21 “And God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves with which the waters swarmed after their kind…. and God saw that it was good.”
ASB (American Standard Bible); a rare instance where newer interpretation is more compatible with dinosaurs.
The Ice Age:
Job 37: 9-10, 38:22-23 & 29-30,
Background:
Job lived in the land of Uz, and was a descendant of Shem. Genesis 10:23. The most conservative Bible scholars agree that he lived sometime between the Tower of Babel and Abraham. (The Answer Book, Ham pg 206)
Job 38: 29-30. “From whose womb come the frosts? Who gives birth to the frost from the Heavens? When the waters become hard as stone, when the surface of the deep is frozen?
The Flood:
Genesis Chapter 5, the genealogical lists and ages of the descendents of Adam to Noah. Genesis 7:6 “…and Noah was 600 years old when the Flood of water came upon the earth”. This identifies 1,656 years to the Flood.
Genesis 7:11-12 “in the 600 year of Noah’s’ life, in the second month, on the seventeenth day of the second month, on that day all the fountains of the great deep burst open, and the floodgates of the sky were opened…”
Genesis 7:12 “And it rained upon the earth for 40 days and forty nights”
Genesis 8:3-5 “and the water receded steadily from the earth, and at the end of 150 days, the water decreased. And in the seventh month, on the seventeenth day of the month, the ark rested upon the mountains of Ararat. And the water decreased steadily until the tenth month; in the tenth month on the first day of the month, the tops of the mountains became visible.
Genesis 8:13 “and it came about in the six hundred and first year, in the first month on the first of the month, the water was dried up from the earth…”
- That translates to the earth being covered by water for 347 days.
The Flood and volcanic/tectonic activity:
Psalms 104: 6-9 (speaking of the Flood) “… the mountains rose; the valleys sank down to the place which thou didst establish for them. Thou didst set a boundary that they (the oceans) may not pass over, that they may not return to cover the earth”
2 Peter 3:20 “…(man) who were once disobedient, when the patience of God kept waiting in the days of Noah, during the construction of the Ark in which a few, that is 8 person, were brought safely through the water.
1 Peter 3:20 “eight souls were saved by water..”
Origin of Man:
Genesis Chapter 1:25-26. “Then God said, “Let us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; and let them rule over the cattle and all the earth…” ...And God created man in His own image.”
Genesis Chapter 2:2:7 “Then the Lord God formed man of the dust from the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and man became a living being.
Genesis Chapter 1:28 “…and God said to (man) “…rule over every living thing that moves on earth”.
Acts 17:26 From one man He made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth: NIV (New International Version).
Genesis 10:5 And two sons From these, the peoples spread out into their territories, by their clans within their nations, each with its own language.
Genesis 10:25 And two sons were born to Eber: the name of one was Peleg, for in his day the earth was divided. NIV (New International Version).
- Using the genealogy in Genesis 11, and simple math, it can be shown that Babel occurred approximately 100 years after the Flood, and that the “earth being divided in his day refers to the dispersion of the people from Babel. (One Blood, Ham, Weiland, Batten pg 107)
Genesis 11: 1 “Now the whole earth used the same language and the same words”
Genesis 11: 8-9 “ ...and confuse their languages, so that they may not understand each other. So the Lord scattered them abroad from there over the face of the whole earth;” NIV (New International Version).
Age of the Earth:
Genesis 1:14 “…and God said let there be lights in the Heavens…and let them be signs for the seasons and for the days of the year”. Note; there is nothing in the stars that coincides with the 7 day week.
Exodus 34:28 “…for in 6 days, the Lord made Heaven and earth, and on the 7th day He rested and was refereshed.”
Genesis Chapter 5, the genealogical lists and ages of the descendents of Adam to Noah. Genesis 7:6 “…and Noah was 600 years old when the Flood of water came upon the earth”. This identifies 1,656 years to the Flood.
Genesis Chapter 11, identifies 368 years from the Flood to Abraham’s migrating to Canaan.
There is general agreement that from Abraham’s migrating to Canaan, was not greater than 2,000 BC.

1,656 + 100 + 268 + 2,000 + 2007 = 6,001years +/-
Cosmology: The Heavens and starlight:
1 Peter 3:5 “It escapes their notice that, long age, by the word of God, the heavens and the earth were formed out of water and by water..”
Job 26:7 He stretches out the North over empty space, and hangs the earth on nothing”.
Isaiah 40:12. “He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth, and its peoples are like grasshoppers; He stretches out the Heavens as a canopy, and spreads them out as a tent to live in”. NIV (New International Version)
Isaiah 42:5. “Who created the Heavens and stretched them out? NIV (New International Version)
Jeremiah 10:12. “It is He that made the earth by his power… and by His understanding; He has stretched out the heavens”. ASB (American Standard Bible).
Job 38: 31 “… or loose the cords of Orion”. ASB (American Standard Bible).
Zechariah 12:1 “.. who stretches out the heavens, lays the foundation of the earth, and forms the spirit within man”. ASB (American Standard Bible).
There are at least 12 other similar verses in the Old Testament that use 4 different verbs to convey: a) stretch out b) bow c) spread out d) extend. These include:

Names of the Disciples:
Mathew 10:2-4; James brother of John, peter, John, Matthew, Judas, Phillip, Thomas, Jams son of Alpheus, Bartholomew, Thaddeus.
